DH107 Dental Materials Course Description       2 Credits

 

            This course introduces the student to materials used in dental practice.  Lectures, demonstrations, reading and laboratory activities will assist the student in developing an understanding of the gypsum products, waxes, porcelain, and gold.  Physical and biological properties will be emphasized and clinical applications will be shown in the laboratory portion of the course.  (1 hour lecture/2 hr laboratory)

Prerequisite:  This course is open to students who have attained a grade of “C” or better in all attempted dental hygiene courses.
