VKG Associates, Inc. (VKG) is a recognized leader in training in the mid-Atlantic region and beyond for more than 27 years. The mission of VKG is to deliver quality programming in computer applications skills, technology solutions, using state-of-the-art equipment and teaching critical business skills that increase productivity. By offering a professionally supported series of experiences for training participants VKG is committed to providing access, for a variety of students of different backgrounds and abilities, to knowledge, instruction and skills for these changing economic times.

VKG has provided computer training, technology solutions, critical business skills, supervisor competencies, teacher education solutions, program facilitation, corporate retreats and/or staff development training for such distinguished clients as The City of Philadelphia, Department of the Army, Department of the Navy, U.S. Coast Guard Yard, The City of New York (Human Resources Administration), The Parking Authority of Philadelphia, University of Pennsylvania Parking Attendants, and recently VKG’s team of trainers with Scientific Games trained over 8,000 lottery retailers across the state of Pennsylvania. VKG has also trained over 30,000 City of Philadelphia employees and more than 12,000 for the City of New York, which are ongoing projects. The above is just a partial list of clients.

We have provided Manor College in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, the Department of Probation and Parole’s probation officers in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the Center for Juvenile Justice Training and Research’s support staff in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania with diversity training. VKG’s team skills permit training on many special projects for the City of Philadelphia, such as the computer-training workshops designed for and provided to the City of Philadelphia Police Department. The police officers and detectives received training on the Preliminary Arraignment System (PARS) software, a proprietary software program designed specifically for that department. VKG also trains employees of the City of Philadelphia on other proprietary software applications and provides special services to the visually impaired using JAWS software for technology training.

VKG’s expertise is wide spread and has rose to the challenge and surpasses the expectations of their clients. This is because VKG understands the necessity of training and the breakdown in productivity when training is absent.

Consequently, VKG maintains a continuous commitment to the economic growth of businesses and workplace productivity. As a result VKG has received numerous awards, i.e., from the City of Philadelphia, 2000, Eastern Pennsylvania Business Journal 2007, Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development 2007, and recognized as the Minority Small Business Champion of the year 2008. VKG has maintained its civic involvement including contributions to the development of the welfare-to-work initiative in the public and private sectors as well as the company opening their classrooms over the summer so that Philadelphia youth could develop computer literacy and job readiness skills. VKG trains the young, the adult and the mature adult in computer skills, technology proficiently and critical business skills.
