The following courses have been designated as approved credit courses by the Dental Assisting National Board for Dental Assistants and EFDAs.

Review for PA X-Ray Certification – 7 CEUs
This lecture only course is designed to prepare candidates for Pennsylvania X-ray Certification. As of May 2009, candidates must take the comprehensive Radiology Health and Safety section of the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) exam and then submit an application with passing results to obtain certification. This seven hour course prepares the student by covering the following exam topics: Expose and evaluate (intraoral and extraoral), processing, mount and label, radiology safety-patient, and radiology safety operator.

Certification Review Course for Dental Assistants – 37 CEUs
Gain greater earning potential as a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA). This review course is designed to prepare the dental assistant to take the Dental Assisting National Board Exam. Topics include: infection control, chairside procedures, dental materials and radiology.
Eligibility Requirements: One year full-time experience and current Healthcare Provider CPR.

Improve Your Image, Dental Radiologic Techniques – 7 CEUs
This hands-on course covers intraoral and panoramic exposures with the use of manikins. Diagnostically and technically acceptable dental radiographs are essential in patient diagnosis and treatment. Participants will receive instruction in the form of lecture, discussion and hands-on participation. Topics covered include: ADA guidelines, infection control, paralleling techniques, intraoral and panoramic exposures with the use of manikins and maintaining patient compliance.
Prerequisite: Pennsylvania x-ray certification or completion of Manor’s Dental Radiological Review Course.
