Pre-Nursing (towards a diploma)

Nurses are professional health care providers who plan, give and supervise patient care in collaboration with other health team professionals. They plan, assess, and coordinate the care of individuals in a variety of health care settings. The scope of practice for nurses encompasses many areas of interest and specialization, such as: surgical, emergency, and pediatric nursing. Employment opportunities include hospitals, community health care centers, schools, clinics, long term facilities, research centers, health maintenance organizations, pharmaceutical companies and more. Nurses may also attain advanced degrees and practice as independent health care professionals, nurse educators and administrators.
