College is the perfect time in your life to discover your talents, explore new interests, and meet interesting people. Getting involved on campus will help you achieve all these goals and make your time at Manor a truly enjoyable and memorable experience.
In addition to our many campus clubs, the Student Activities department hosts a number of special events that give you the chance to “meet, greet, and Eat” with your fellow Manor Community members.
- Picnics
- Dances
- Manor Idol
- Lunch-Time Activities
- Friday Night Outing
Each year Manor hosts two community-wide picnics, the “Get Acquainted Picnic” in September and the “Graduation Picnic” in April. Featuring a free, delicious lunch buffet and crazy games (like Ultimate Laser Tag or Defender Dome) the picnics offer the perfect atmosphere for friends, food, and FUN!

Throughout the year, students can “bust a move” at a Manor dance party, such as the Spring Semi-Formal or annual Halloween Bash.

Each January, the Student Activities department really gives our students a chance to shine during our annual Manor Idol Karaoke competition. Singing before our own panel of “esteemed judges”, students compete to hear those magic words “You’re going to Manor!” and earn a golden ticket which moves them into the audience-judged final round. 2009 and 2010 Manor Idol, sophomore Rodney Parish, was the first person in Manor Idol history to successfully defend his title by melting the hearts (and eardrums) of the crowd with his heart-felt, emotion-packed rendition of Rascal Flatt’s “What Hurts the Most.”
Special FREE and fun treats such as Fondue Fridays or Brown Bag Bingo held during lunchtime hours.
If you enjoy being scared, then have we got an evening for you! In October, the Student Activities department organizes an outing to one of the Philadelphia area’s famous horror attractions, such as “Terror Behind the Walls” or “The Valley of Fear.” Join us . . . if you dare . . .
