Personal Counseling
Anxious, depressed overwhelmed, angry, struggling? Don’t wait.
Seeking help early can prevent minor difficulties from becoming more serious problems. Students seek personal counseling for many reasons, including such issues as: roommate problems, stress, difficulty with decisions, eating disorders, relationship problems, substance abuse, sexual assault, family problems, trauma, abuse, and domestic violence.
The experienced, professional counselors of the Manor College Counseling Center are supportive, objective, and available to discuss any student concerns. When appropriate, referrals are made to community resources, such as private therapists or support groups.
NOTE: Personal counseling services are free, non-sectarian, and strictly confidential except in cases where the student is assessed as being immediately dangerous to self or others. Because personal counseling is confidential, it does not appear on academic records.
