From Robert Reeves, Athletic Director

Manor College Athletics

As a coach and former student-athlete myself, I have a first-hand appreciation of the value of a strong intercollegiate athletic program. A successful athletic program can serve as the “front porch” of a College or University; a gathering place for students, alumni, friends and fans.

We are blessed at Manor College to have terrific coaches and gifted student-athletes. Together, they bring great acclaim to Manor College.

Athletically, Manor College offers four intercollegiate programs: Men’s and Women’s Soccer and Men’s and Women’s Basketball. Manor has a very strong and successful tradition in all four programs. In 2008, Manor College joined the NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association).  This move will help Manor College gain broader recognition and allow us to compete for National Championships. This is the first step in the right direction with more to come, including adding more intercollegiate athletic programs to help Manor College grow.

Academically, my goal is to have all student-athletes hold a GPA of 3.0or higher. Now, Manor athletics has Academic coaches for our five athletic teams, and our student-athletes will be required to take greater responsibility for their academic performance. If you are a student-athlete who is driven to succeed in academics, and is willing to work hard for your education, then Manor College is the school for you. My job as the Athletic Director and a coach, is to help you become a great student and an accomplished athlete. Always put academics first in your collegiate careers, and I promise, I’ll be there when you reach your ultimate goal --- your graduation.
It is a very exciting time for the Athletic program at Manor College as we move in a new direction towards achieving even greater success. While our future may be full of new challenges for our athletes, coaches, and enthusiastic fans, we are confident that we have the talent, support, drive and enthusiasm to surpass all our goals.
