Prerequisites
High School Requirements:
The sixteen (16) units of required high school preparation are as follows:
English 4, Social Science 2, Science 1, Laboratory Science 1, Mathematics 2, Electives 6.
Elective subjects in any of the above areas of study will be accepted.

Dental Hygiene:
2 years H.S. Math; 1 year H.S. Biology/Lab; 1 year H.S. Chemistry/Lab
SAT: minimum 900 (V+M or CR+M); H.S. GPA: 3.0 If applicable, previous college GPA=2.5
Prior to matriculation, students must have a tetanus inoculation, a TB test (required annually) and begin the Hepatitis B vaccination series. Proof of inoculations and TB test results, must be submitted prior to matriculation. Students must also submit proof of health insurance coverage and CPR certification by designated due dates and retain both for the duration of enrollment in the program. Incurred costs are the responsibility of the student.
Credits attained from other dental hygiene programs will be reviewed on an individual basis for the purpose of transforming into Manor's program. Students who have stopped-out or taken a leave of absence from the Dental Hygiene program for any reason must contact the Dental Hygiene program director for policy on program re-entry.
Expanded Functions Dental Assisting:
1 yr. H.S. Biology/Lab, 1 yr. H.S. Chemistry/Lab
Prior to matriculation, students must have a tetanus inoculation and begin the Hepatitis B vaccination series. This vaccine is mandated by the Bureau of Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for all dental health care professionals. Veterinary Technology:
1 yr. H.S. Biology/Lab 1 yr. H.S. Chemistry/Lab
It is recommended for applicants to this program to have prior experience in working with animals. Good interpersonal skills are required. Prior to matriculation, students must be immunized against rabies and tetanus, and are required to maintain health insurance coverage for the duration of the program. Students should consult with the Occupational Health Department at Abington Memorial Hospital or a comparable department at their local hospital. Incurred costs are the responsibility of the student.
Paralegal Studies (Post-Baccalaureate Program):
All applicants must have successfully completed a Baccalaureate degree (B.A. or B.S.) at an accredited college or university. Transfer of paralegal coursework taken at another ABA (American Bar Association) approved institution will be considered on an individual basis. Paralegal coursework taken at a non-ABA approved institution cannot be transferred, but applicants may request a course Exemption Test, where they must score a “C” or better to qualify for exemption.
International student applicants or resident aliens and naturalized American citizens who have completed a Baccalaureate program (or its equivalent) in another country will need to submit official transcripts translated into English language, along with TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 550 (standard) or 213 (computer-based) or Internet based =79
Legal Nurse Consultant Certificate Program:
All applicants must possess an Associate in Science Degree or a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from an accredited post-secondary institution, a current state license to practice nursing, and have completed 2,500 hours of clinical work as a registered nurse. Transfer of legal nurse consultant coursework taken at another ABA (American Bar Association) approved institution will be considered on an individual basis. Coursework taken at a non-ABA approved institution cannot be transferred, but applicants may request a course Exemption Test, where they must score a “C” or better to qualify for exemption.
Liberal Arts/Concentration in English as a Second Language:
At minimum, two academic years of studying English on the high school or college level in the applicant’s native, or any other country. Original and translated official high school and/or college transcripts must be submitted.
