Math Resources

Good resources to use other than your textbook can be found in the library . There are books on Math and Statistics, as well as books on math anxiety. There are also many excellent math websites that can help you with your math courses, such as www.math.com and www.webmath.com.

Developmental Math Courses

We have two developmental math courses, Basic Mathematics (MH080) and Introduction to Algebra (MH090). These courses are designed for students who need to learn some skills before they take college level math. Students may be placed into these courses based on the results of the Accuplacer placement exam that is taken after acceptance to Manor. To do your best on the placement exam, it is strongly suggested that you do the practice exams on the Accuplacer website, found here.
Here are links to other sample tests to prepare you for the Accuplacer:

College Level Math Courses

Other commonly run math courses are Technical Math (MH102), College Algebra (MH103), Algebra and Trigonometry I (MH104), Honors Calculus I and II (MH201H and MH202H), and Statistics (MH203). Talk with your academic advisor about which courses you are required to take, or which courses will be most useful for your future career.
